  • My year in review

    Hey guys,

Well I thought that it would be a good time for me to reflect on my year in cycling as the road season is coming close to an end (for me at least) as are my days of school left (only about 10 weeks to go!).

I think it’s good to have a little reflection at the end of each year, just to look back at the highs & lows of the season & for me there have been many of both.

The year started off really well I feel. I did a lot of traveling, racing at the Oceania track championships/Melbourne cup on wheels, Youth Olympics & the track nationals. I really didn’t focus on the track too much mentally although I did a lot of work with Gary West & the state team. My mind was really focused completely on racing in Italy in the months of March & April.

Well i haven’t updated this for ages, because i couldn’t really be bothered. Nothing too exciting has been happening in my life. School is going along well but the same as normal and training is well not as good as i would like. I’m getting some motivation back and have started training hard for canberra, 340km in 3 days…going ok!

So yeah i thought i would make it interesting for all that read this site. So i will do something different, 30 things you may not know (probably don’t care) about me! haha, here is goes.

    1. I was born in the small town of Mt Gambier in SA.
    2. I have a dog named ella, she is a border collie.
    3. I lived in both England and Brazil as a kid.
    4. I like wearing white clothes.
    5. My first teacher was named Mrs Driscoll.

Just wanna say well done to Danilo Di Luca on winning the Giro! I always hoped he would win and this year he did.

    Great effort.

    Forza Liquigas!
